What you will learn
Initial Assessment: Learn how to interview parents during the very first contact, effectively engage students, plus novel ways to identify important target behaviors. how to survey and gauge parent interest.
Group Activities: Become proficient at creating engaging technology-based activities that promote organization and planning, emotional control, awareness of others‘ feelings, conversational skills, and effective decision-making. behavioral rehearsal process.

Parent Involvement: Learn what has worked best in our setting and, more importantly, how to survey and gauge parent interest.
Use of Incentives: While most of our intervention strategies make use of social reinforcement, we also use tangible rewards and make this part of the learning and behavioral rehearsal process.
Eating Out & Community Activities: Society is built around food and eating. Students practice healthy eating habits, manners, how to carry on conversations while consuming food, and how to behave in the community.

Course Information
Sessions meet from 3-6pm and qualifies for 3.0 hours of CE credit. You may sign up for an individual session or for all of them.

"Shaping group behavior and executive functioning skills with technology-based activities, using peer modeling, managing resistive or oppositional group members; using simple computer animation and cartooning programs"

"Using raffles and token programs in group; using surveys and teleconferencing and other technologies with parents"
T2.4: August 6
"Wrapping up, end of group activities, planning outcome measures; using spreadsheets and data analysis tools, simple methods for putting information online"
